At The Wolf School, a private K-8 special education school, children with multiple learning differences are able to finally unlock their full potential. Through small class sizes and an innovative learning model, Wolf provides Complex Learners with the tools they need for academic and social success.
Instead of pulling a student out for occupational therapy or speech support, these crucial services are immersed into the classroom for every lesson. Frequent movement breaks help students get their bodies ready to learn. These techniques, implemented by an expert, dedicated staff, empower students to uncover their own unique learning strategies. Our organization works to advocate for children by helping families navigate through the complexities of educational rights. We work to provide a voice to families and to advocate for their child’s unique needs. We know that it takes courage to ask for help and how overwhelming it is to navigate through an educational system that doesn’t work for your child. We are the additional support that families need to discover their child’s potential and to remove educational obstacles.

The playground in Slater Park is a lot of fun for kids of all ages. They have two large spiderweb climbers, a play structure suitable for older children as well as a section for young children/toddlers. There are swings, slides & right outside the gate is a large elephant statue. There is plenty of free parking, and Daggett Farm is practically right next to the playground. Within Daggett Farm there are ride on toys for kids to play with and animals to look at. Be aware that Daggett has very limited shade. Bring sunscreen and know that it gets hot! There is also lots to explore within Slater Park itself.

Paterson Park Playground has swings (baby and bigger kid), play structures, a small sandbox, open space for kids to run and two small basketball courts.
The Hope Street Farmers Market is a farmer-run cooperative created and managed by many of the best farmers and food artisans in Rhode Island. We sell fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheese, breads and pastries, pasture-raised meats, seafood, poultry and eggs, and many other items that we grow, make or raise ourselves. Come join us every Saturday morning from 9 to 1:00 and Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 to 6:00. Load up your shopping bags with great things to eat, listen to live music and spend time with your neighbors – all at Lippitt Park on the East Side of Providence where Hope Street and Blackstone Boulevard meet.

This playground is known by several names; Gladys Potter Garden, Froggy Park & Humbolt park. It boasts lots of shade, a sandbox, swings, a see-saw, climbing structures and toys for the kids to play with. With benches and a picnic table ,it would be a great place to have lunch. Have your kids bring their bike or scooter and ride along the paved pathways.

This playground has some larger play structures with slides. There are also monkey bars and various pieces of equipment to climb on. It is in the middle of Lippitt Park, so while it is not fenced there is ample grass around it. There are several benches.
