Make a Meal & Make a Friend {Dream Dinners Moms Night Out}

0

Over and over again, in the comments on our Facebook page, at our events, in our Community + Conversation Group we hear you talking about how hard it can be to make friends as a mom. We hear you. Between hectic schedules, the awkwardness of trying to have a conversation with a new person while your toddler is hanging on your leg and screaming that he has to go to the bathroom, and being just so darn exhausted all the time, it sometimes seems easier to just hide in our houses and keep doing laundry.

But friends. Hiding in our houses and doing laundry is not the solution.

That’s why we’re so excited about this event. We KNOW you don’t have time to make dinner AND make friends – so we’ve combined the two. On April 9th, the fabulous team at Dream Dinners Plainville is opening their doors for you to come prepare three meals while we take care of the awkward conversation by pairing you up with another mom & providing some fun conversation starters. After we’re done, we’ll head out for some appetizers to keep the conversation going. Not familiar with Dream Dinners? It’s a service that allows you to pick your meals online, and come into the store to prep them. In about an hour an a half, once a month, you’ll head home with at least 12 prepared meals that you didn’t have to grocery shop for and didn’t have to dirty your kitchen while preparing. So it’s pretty much a lifesaver. Read Ashley’s review to learn more.

So Mama… put down the laundry (don’t worry, it’ll keep!), join us for an evening of friendship, and bring home some meals to your family too!

Tracy Slater
Tracy was born and raised in Southeastern Massachusetts and currently resides about 15 minutes outside of Providence with her husband and their three children, Max (2012), Ryder (2014), and Lily (2017). As a mother, she has dabbled in various parenting philosophies, and after attempting everything from free range to helicopter, she's landed squarely in the camp of "I'll do whatever it takes to make the noise stop." In all seriousness, Tracy believes that the key to happily surviving parenthood is grace. Whenever possible it should be given generously to our children, our spouses, and especially ourselves. Tracy has spent her career working with mothers and children in various capacities. She has a private therapy practice, is an Infant Massage Instructor, and works in Early Intervention. She has learned that one of things that children need most is well supported parents, and she believes that the candid sharing of stories and experiences is an important way of supporting parents. When she's not at work, Tracy spends her days trying to get outside, writing, and searching for her patience at the bottom of a (reheated) cup of coffee. She is an avid runner, and she loves to cook, obsessively organize, and drink wine.
