Flatbread Pizza in Munroe Dairy Recipe Post on Providence Moms Blog

These days it seems like every week there’s a new meal delivery service or food delivery service aimed to cater to busy families. Those are great but sometimes kids are punks and want their favorite meals. In our home it is essential that these weeknight meals be simple!

Recently I was able to check out the wonder that is Munroe Dairy. This is not your Grandmothers milkman! Pizza crusts, fresh veggies, ‘fancy’ pasta, all delivered right to my door. They have cool cow pattern trucks too, so it’s fun for the truck obsessed toddler too; a real win-win.

We have approximately two free nights a week where we’re all home for dinner at a reasonable hour so having stuff on hand for these weeknight meals is ideal. In this order, the kids picked flatbread pizza, salad mix, pasta and bratwursts; and all the goodies to go with them to make a super simple family-friendly meal.

The flatbreads may be my new favorite mom hack. They come in a three pack and take about 7 minutes to cook; which is about the time it takes my 3-year-old to go from a sweet angel to hangry gremlin! Having these on hand has been awesome for busy weeknights or even lunches when a sandwich just won’t do. Making their own pizzas is also a tried and true fun activity that can make even the broodiest 9-year old happy.  Here are some great ideas for how to make your own pizzas

Over the course of a few (super busy) weeks, I had 4 meals on hand, ready to go when needed. The pasta, sauce, and bratwursts came frozen which is ideal because my best-laid meal planning often goes awry and sometimes things don’t get made when expected. Having them in the freezer when I needed them was an awesome safety net.

Munroe has more than basics too. I’ve heard from a few credible sources that their steak tips are awesome – sadly I live with non-steak loving people so I didn’t get to try them for myself.  They have milk – obviously, cheese, veggies, coffee, cleaning products and for the true Rhode Islander, Autocrat ice cream!  They offer a wide variety of local products as well so not only are you freeing up time by avoiding the grocery store you get to support local businesses from the comfort of home.

Munroe delivers to almost all of RI (sorry Block Island) and tons of town in Southeast MA.  Check them out for yourself at Cowtruck.com to see what they have to offer; it’ll be a great MOOOOOve on your part. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Munroe Dairy is more than just a milk delivery service — it’s your one-stop shop for all your grocery needs while supporting local businesses. So spread the #LocalLove and sign up for Munroe Dairy’s home delivery service here! Be sure to tell them Providence Moms Blog sent you!
