Hardpressed Cider Company at Windmist Farm, Jamestown
Operating at Windmist Farm on weekends from Labor Day through the weekend before Thanksgiving, Hardpressed Cider Company is famous not just for their apple cider donuts, but also their fresh hard-pressed cider. Their donuts are made with their famous cider and also include finely chopped apples in their recipe. While you are there, check out Windmist Farm’s selection of 100% grass-fed beef.
Appleland Orchard, Greenville
No information could be found regarding the 2020 season. Appleland Orchard is a great place to purchase and enjoy cider donuts after picking apples in their orchard. Their award-winning donuts are also sold at Sunset Orchard Farm and Barden Family Orchard. You can also find their own apple cider, caramel apples, and a variety of pies at their farm stand.
Knead Donuts, Providence
Knead has made of a name for itself as being one of the top gourmet donut shops in Rhode Island. This fall they have added cider donuts, made with local apple cider, to their menu! With three locations, and a plethora of both classic and uniquely flavored donuts, Knead is just the place to get your fall cider donut fix! Offering not only their homemade delectable cider donuts, Pippin Orchard is also known for their freshly made apple and blueberry pies as well as their own farm fresh eggs and homemade maple candy. Pick your own apples are offered here as well to round out your fall day!
The Big Apple, Wrentham MA
Located not far over the Rhode Island line, The Big Apple makes their own tasty apple cider donuts as well as an ample farm stand that offers fresh fruits and vegetables (including pumpkins) and a variety of other bakery items such as muffins and turnovers. During your visit, you can also pick your own apples in their orchards and enjoy a hayride on the weekends.
BF Clyde’s Cider Mill, Mystic, CT
If you’re willing to drive a little further to see the only steam-powered cider mill in the country, BF Clyde’s Cider Mill is the place for you. This national historic landmark also offers their very own fresh apple cider donuts, pumpkin bread, jams, jellies, and kettle corn. Sneak in some grown-up fun and enjoy a free tasting of their apple wines while you’re there!
